What Summerlin sites are like
Summerlin is built up against the Spring Mountains on benched, engineered pads, so the ground is firm caliche rather than the loose valley fill further east, and a court often needs a retaining edge where the pad steps down. Lots in the older villages like The Trails and The Willows are generous but rarely flat, while the newer Paseos and Reverence lots are tighter and squarer, which usually decides whether a full 30 by 60 pickleball footprint fits or whether we lay out a reduced court. Full western exposure against the mountains also means the surface takes hard afternoon sun year round, so colour choice matters more here than it does across the valley.

Common questions
Will my Summerlin village association approve a backyard court?
Usually yes, but almost never without design review. Each village association sets its own rules on fence height, lighting, setbacks, and surface colour, and those rules differ village to village even though the Summerlin Council sits above all of them. The two things that most often need negotiating are fence height and whether lighting is permitted at all. We put together the submittal package and work to whatever the association approves.
Do you work with HOAs and communities in Summerlin?
Yes, and Summerlin needs it more than most. Nearly every village has its own association on top of the Summerlin Council, so a court usually needs design review before anything is poured. We prepare the submittals, drawings, and specifications, and we have been through the process here before.
